Fire has destroyed a shop near Paris where specialty Kentucky auto license plates were manufactured.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, CWF Products in Bourbon County made plates for the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville, among others.
Owner Chuck Frysinger was in the building and said a small blaze began at an engraving machine. Before he could get a water hose, the flames reached an exhaust pipe, which Frysinger said acted like a blowtorch, igniting the building.
Frysinger said he plans to rebuild as soon as possible.
Five fire departments fought the flames. There were no injuries.
