A Utah exterminator blamed for the poisoning death of two children has been hit with thousands of violations of pesticide regulations.
The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food says it will hold hearings in August or September on more than 3,500 violations of procedures and record-keeping at Bountiful-based Bugman Pest and Lawn Inc.
A company employee facing misdemeanor charges has been accused of placing a rodent-killing chemical too close to the foundation wall of a Layton home where two girls died in February from vapors that seeped into the house.
The Salt Lake Tribune says the citations show that it was the sixth time Bugman Pest applied the poison Fumitoxin dangerously close to a home.
Bugman Pest didn’t return a phone message left Sunday by The Associated Press.
