ZooMontana has reopened after reaching an agreement with its insurance company.
The Billings, Mont., zoo closed May 9, 2011, after its liability insurance policy was canceled over a late payment.
ZooMontana board chairman Ian McDonald says the zoo’s executive director and board president worked “tirelessly” to obtain a new insurance policy. The policy was signed May 11, 2011 and the zoo reopened on May 12.
