GJS Re Expands Operations, Opens in East

Los Angeles, CA – Derek Gullage has joined GJ Sullivan Reinsurance (GJS Re) as Vice President in their Los Angeles office.

Mr. Gullage previously spent ten years with the Farmers Insurance Group, where most recently he was Director of Reinsurance, responsible for ceded property and casualty reinsurance as well as catastrophe modeling.

With his strong, multi-line background, Derek is ideally suited to lead the development of our reinsurance business in the West.”

Mr Gullage holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Tim Poeton has joined GJ Sullivan Reinsurance (GJS Re) as Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of their newly formed Morristown, New Jersey office.

Mr. Haldeman noted that, “The opening of an office in the East is an important step in expanding our business and serving the needs of our clients even better. Tim Poeton is a highly experienced industry executive who can lead our expansion in this area. He has been particularly successful in the Managing General Agency and program sector, which we see as an important area of our growth.”

Mr. Poeton spent 15 years in the London market before joining Greig Fester in New York in 1991.
