Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed two barns at a western New York farm, causing about $2 million in damage.
The fire broke out about 3 a.m. Monday at McCormick Farms in the Wyoming County town of Wethersfield, 35 miles southeast of Buffalo.
County fire officials say the blaze destroyed two large barns and damaged a third before firefighters from 12 companies were able to get the blaze under control.
Officials say emergency crews were able to save a a barn with more than $400,000 worth of potatoes inside.
No one was injured.
The fire’s cause remains under investigation. It’s not believed to be suspicious.
