Pennsylvania Exotic Dancer Charged with Workers’ Comp Fraud

A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with workers’ comp fraud after authorities found her moonlighting as an exotic dancer while collecting benefits from a waitress job she claimed she couldn’t do.

In 2007, Christina Gamble, of Quakertown, reported that she fell and injured her back during her restaurant work shift, and resigned before her shift ended. Her former employer submitted an accident report to Highmark Casualty Insurance Co., and Gamble collected nearly $27,000 in benefits after telling her doctor that she was unable to work, and that standing and changing positions were a problem.

However, eight days after that doctor’s appointment, Gamble was observed working as an exotic dancer in Easton, according to charges filed by Attorney General Tom Corbett’s office.

She has been charged with two counts of workers compensation insurance fraud and one count of theft by deception. The felonies carry a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine each.
