Crawford & Company International Inc. announced that Mauricio Alonso has been appointed senior vice president, regional director of the Company’s Latin America and Caribbean operations.
Alonso will be a member of Crawford’s International Management Team and will assume his new duties on March 1, 2005 at Crawford’s new Latin American and Caribbean headquarters in Miami.
Alonso comes to Crawford from AIG where he was most recently vice
president of Latin America Claims Division. Throughout his career, he held various roles in the Latin American region and has resided in Mexico and Brazil.
His prior positions include claims manager, AIG Mexico; claims manager, AIG Brazil; regional AIG Mexico director; and regional claim supervisor for GEICO.
Tom Dawson, the Caribbean managing director, will report to Alonso but will remain responsible for operational control of the Caribbean region in the consolidated region.
Alonso assumes the regional Latin America role from Norman Mitchell, who will provide Latin American business development services in his new role in the London market for Crawford & Company International Inc.
