Another earthquake has struck near Jones in eastern Oklahoma County.
According to the U.S. and Oklahoma Geological surveys, a 2.5-magnitude quake occurred about 3 miles southeast of Jones, or about 17 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, around 5:43 p.m. on Feb. 1.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
Earthquakes have been rattling the area for months.
A quake with a magnitude of 4.0 that struck near Jones on Jan. 15 was followed nine minutes later by one of magnitude 3.8.
The first tremor was Oklahoma’s strongest temblor since a 1998 earthquake near Lawton, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, and was felt as far away as Tulsa, about 90 miles away.
