A Thibodaux man is suing the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office, claiming a deputy dislocated his shoulder during arrest in November 2010.
The Courier reports that 48-year-old Joey Larousse had stopped at the Congo Lounge in Thibodaux, to pick up food and wash his car. According to the lawsuit, which was filed in Lafourche District Court earlier this month. After leaving the truck stop, a deputy pulled him over on a suspicion of drunken driving.
The lawsuit names deputies Jeff Chamberlain and Paul Finn as defendants, but it does not specify which deputy pulled him over.
Larouse was brought to the Lafourche Parish jail, the suit says, and was given a ticket for DWI, improper lane usage and resisting arrest. He was then released.
