W. Va. WCC Files Injunctions Against Four Employers

West Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Commission recently filed injunctions against four state employers whose accounts with the Commission are reportedly in default.

Injunctions were filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court against the following:

* STAT Ambulance Service Inc., a Mingo County ambulance service provider, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $38,585.57;

* Diversified Contractors Inc., TA Budget Home Improvement, a Kanawha County home improvement business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $22,425.27;

* RF Trucking Inc., a McDowell County coal hauling business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $32,481.08; and

* Charles D. Gibson d.b.a.Gibson Glass, a Cabell County glassware manufacturing business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $59,988.11.

Workers’ Compensation Commission Executive Director Gregory Burton said the Commission will continue initiating litigation involving delinquent businesses throughout the state to help assure everyone pays their fair share.

The injunctions call for the firms to cease business.
